How To Rotate Your Body More Effectively Through The Ball!!

One of the most common faults I see with golfers is a lack of body rotation through impact. When this happens, players often rely too much on their hands and arms to hit the ball, which can lead to inconsistent contact and poor ball striking.
A simple way to check if you're rotating enough is to look at your finish position. Ideally, your chest, hips, and belt buckle should all be facing the target. If they're not, there's a good chance you're not rotating effectively through the shot.
One of the best drills you can use to improve your rotation is to set up with your left foot slightly pulled back. This is for a right-handed golfer; if you're left-handed, simply do the opposite. When doing this drill, make sure your feet remain reasonably close together.
Having your left foot back makes it much easier for your hips to rotate through the ball. It encourages your body to keep turning rather than getting stuck and relying on your arms to square the clubface.
This drill is particularly beneficial for golfers who swing excessively in-to-out and struggle to rotate through impact. When the body stops rotating, the club can become trapped too far behind you, often leading to pushes, hooks, or inconsistent strikes.
By setting your left foot back, you'll often find that your swing path becomes more neutral and your contact improves significantly. Many golfers notice that they strike the ball more solidly and gain better control over the direction of their shots.
Like any golf drill, start slowly and focus on the feeling of your hips and chest rotating through to a balanced finish. Once you become comfortable with the movement, you can gradually transfer the feeling into your normal setup.
